History of Abortion
The practice of abortion has existed from pre historic times. Abortion has been passed on from generation to generation.
Abortion was recorded in 1550 B.C.E. in Egypt and in ancient China about 500 B.C.E. In China mercury was used to induce abortion, an extremely dangerous method that you should not even think about rying if you love your life.
The traditional abortional methods were very risky. Poisons were used. This then improved to using roots and herbal methods.
It should be noted that many ancient and medieval methods and preparations are extremely risky and many are not at all effective, so experimentation is quite unwise.
Today abortion is easily and safely done through medical means (use of pills) and surgically.
Pills are extremely very safe and quick in expelling the contents of the womb but they are effective if you are in early stages of pregnancy.
Any time above 13 weeks of pregnancy and if you have complications of pregnancy the best method of termination is surgery.
In Pretoria We have a clinic that does abortion but limited to ladies who are three months – 12 weeks pregnant or less. If you need the service please contact us using one of the several methods below:
